CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATES AND IMPACT

At Calvary Pediatrics and Sunshine Pediatrics your health is our top priority so apart from the high-quality care we also prioritize patient safety. And, in response to COVID-19, we are taking extraordinary steps to maintain CDC standards and your safety. Calvary Pediatrics and Sunshine Pediatric continues to monitor the situation and work with member hospitals to share information, experiences and best practices for children and families.

As a reminder, all patients and guardians are required to wear a mask while in our facilities. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided upon your arrival. We also employ other measures according to State, Federal and CDC guidelines. or guidance on what masks to use, please refer to the CDC guidelines.

We are taking extra steps to protect our patients, families and staff, including updating our policy. Two healthy parents or caregivers can accompany a child for an appointment; however we ask that, when possible, only one caregiver accompany their child in the effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19. DETAILED POLICY

We are taking extra steps to protect our patients, families and staff. When you arrive for your child’s appointment you must call our office to notify us you have arrived and remain in your vehicle until staff have provided you with instructions to enter the building.COVID-19 screening questions are asked prior to any individual entering the office. We ask that if your child or anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms, has a known exposure to COVID-19 or has tested positive for COVID-19 that you notify our office PRIOR to your child’s appointment. One healthy adult/caregiver is allowed at each appointment and we ask that no other children/siblings come to the appointment to limit exposure and building capacity.

COVID TESTING

Our office has begun administering COVID-19 testing for all ages. The testing is done by appointment only. We offer Rapid and Lab testing currently. The use of Rapid testing is determined by our providers and not guaranteed for every patient.  Rapid test results are delivered in 15-30 minutes the same day. Lab testing is sent to an outside source and can take 3-5 days for results. If you would like your child tested for COIVD-19 please call our office so that we can schedule an appointment.

vaccinations

Our office does not currently offer COVID-19 vaccinations and CDC has not approved the vaccine for children under the age of 19. Please continue to monitor our website and the CDC’s for vaccination information.
