Results in Medicine Refills
Laboratory and Diagnostic Tests
Some laboratory results can be performed in our office. Others are performed at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center or other laboratory facilities. If you have a preference or if your insurance requires a specific facility, please inform the doctor/nurse at the time the tests are being ordered.
Sometimes lab specimens may be obtained in the office but are sent out to a lab facility for processing. In this situation you will receive a bill from that facility.
Prescription Refill Requests/Routine Call Backs/Medical Forms
Any prescription refill requests or forms left for the providers to fill out can take up to 72 hours to complete. Please do not wait until you run out of medication for your child to request a refill.
There may be times when you will need to talk with a clinical person or provider. Your call will be handled appropriately based on the medical situation. You may be asked to hold. Please be patient. The nurse or the provider will be with you as soon as possible. If you are leaving a message, please be sure to give numbers where you can be reached. Please speak clearly and slowly – especially when providing us with phone numbers. All calls will be returned as soon as possible or by the end of the day at the very latest.
